Feeds

Quickstart

Feeds checks the X and LinkedIn accounts you choose and delivers every new post by API, signed webhook, or RSS. You pay in credits for each check and each post delivered; see Pricing.

1. Get an API key

Create an account and confirm your email to receive your free trial credits. In the console, open API keys and create a key. It starts with fm_live_ and is shown once.

export FEEDS_API_KEY=fm_live_...

2. See what a tracker costs

Estimates are free. This one asks for an X account checked every hour:

curl -X POST https://usefeeds.com/v1/estimates \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $FEEDS_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"sourceType":"twitter","handle":"@nasa","cadenceMinutes":60}'

The answer has a max (every check at your cadence) and an expected monthly cost (checks slow down while the account is quiet). See Trackers.

3. Track the account

curl -X POST https://usefeeds.com/v1/trackers \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $FEEDS_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"sourceType":"twitter","handle":"@nasa","cadenceMinutes":60,"monthlyBudgetCredits":2000}'

The response is the tracker, with its id and a private feedUrl for RSS readers.

4. Receive new posts

Register an HTTPS endpoint. The response holds the signing secret, shown once:

curl -X POST https://usefeeds.com/v1/webhooks \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $FEEDS_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"url":"https://example.com/hooks/feeds"}'

Each new post arrives as an item.created event. Verify the signature before you trust it.

You can also poll instead:

curl https://usefeeds.com/v1/trackers/TRACKER_ID/items \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $FEEDS_API_KEY"
